The new S-Class PHEV 2026 will be available in a single trim – the S 450 e L – with an official price of $194,000 in China.
In terms of exterior and interior design, the 2026 S-Class PHEV is almost identical to the 2025 model, with the overall design closely resembling the top gasoline version of the S-Class. The main visual difference is the logo on the rear of the car. Standard features include electrically operated doors, geometric multi-beam LED headlights, a trunk-opening sensor, electric sun visors for the rear doors, and a Burmester 3D surround sound system.
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class PHEV is powered by a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with an electric motor mounted at the rear. The total system output is 300 kW, with 650 Nm of torque.
Thanks to a three-component 28.71 kWh lithium-ion battery, the car can travel up to 108 km on electric power according to the WLTC cycle. It comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
