Hourly electricity outage schedules introduced in Kyiv and seven other regions – DTEK and regional energy companies
NEC “Ukrenergo” has ordered the implementation of hourly electricity outage schedules (HOS) in several regions instead of emergency shutdowns.
According to a social media monitoring by EnergoReforma, notices about HOS have been issued by Cherkasyoblenergo, Poltavaoblenergo, Sumyoblenergo, Zhytomiroblenergo, Zaporizhiaoblenergo, Kirovohradoblenergo, as well as DTEK for Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions.
DTEK reported that in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, the schedules are in effect from 13:00 until the end of the day.
“For Zaporizhia region, following NEC ‘Ukrenergo’ orders, HOS will be applied on October 22 from 15:30 until the end of the day (including switching time). Two lines will be switched off simultaneously,” Zaporizhiaoblenergo said.
“On October 22, HOS will be in effect from 18:30 to 23:59, covering 1.5 lines,” Poltavaoblenergo announced.
“In Sumy region, HOS for two lines will replace emergency outage schedules starting from 16:30. Emergency shutdowns will be canceled,” Sumyoblenergo stated.
“Following the NEC ‘Ukrenergo’ dispatch center command, HOS has been introduced in Zhytomyr region due to acute power deficits caused by damage from Russian attacks,” Zhytomiroblenergo said.
Cherkasyoblenergo applied HOS from 13:30 to 15:30 for one line.
In Kirovohrad region, HOS are currently in effect for Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriya districts until the end of the day for two lines simultaneously.
Power restrictions began after the large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine’s energy system on October 10. Initially, they applied to industry, with HOS for households only in Chernihiv region. Emergency power shutdowns continued in several areas, including on October 22, after another night-time Russian strike targeting the energy system.
