Spray for instant bleeding control receives high praise from scientists

Scientists from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have developed an innovative spray that can stop bleeding and heal wounds within seconds. The new product has already received high praise as an effective method for treating cuts and injuries, especially in emergency situations.

The spray works on the principle of a hemostatic powder. When applied to a bleeding wound, the powder reacts with blood and turns into a gel in less than a second, hermetically sealing the injury and stopping the bleeding. This is particularly useful for deep or irregular wounds where traditional bandages are often ineffective.

PhD researcher Kyusung Park noted that the spray could save lives both in civilian medicine and on the battlefield. According to the developers, the product is intended for use in first aid for soldiers, as well as in disaster zones, traffic accidents, and emergency medical care.

The research team was led by Professors Steve Park and Sangyeon Jang. The new spray has already been tested under harsh conditions and across different weather and temperature ranges. Scientists believe that, thanks to its ease of use and transport, the technology could significantly improve response times and reduce loss of life.
