Water supply problems were reported in several districts of Kyiv on October 8, with reduced pressure in the water network on the capital’s right bank, the Kyiv City State Administration said.
The Kyiv City State Administration said the disruptions were caused by reduced voltage in the electricity grid, which affected power supplies to some water infrastructure facilities.
Specialists from Kyivvodokanal and energy companies were working to restore normal operation as quickly as possible. Residents were warned that some buildings could temporarily lose their water supply.
Reduced water pressure was recorded in the Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
The administration later reported that power supplies to Kyivvodokanal’s water facilities had been restored and that pressure in the network was stabilizing.
The disruptions came amid Russian attacks on Kyiv on October 8, which also caused power outages and other damage in the capital.
