According to him, the killers and oppressors will “pay a heavy price.” U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Iranian protesters, saying that “help is already on the way.” On the social media platform Truth Social, he urged Iranians to seize government institutions:

“Iranian patriots, KEEP PROTESTING — SEIZE YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! Keep the names of the killers and oppressors. They will pay a heavy price. I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the senseless killings of protesters STOP. HELP IS ALREADY ON THE WAY. MIGA [Make Iran Great Again]!!!” Trump wrote.

In Iran, anti-government protests have been ongoing nationwide for more than two weeks, triggered by an economic crisis. According to human rights organizations, the regime of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has killed over 600 protesters and arrested more than 10,000. The EU has announced the possibility of imposing new sanctions on Tehran, while Trump announced a 25% tariff on countries trading with Iran. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes the protests in Iran “signal that the situation is becoming more difficult for Russia.”

Shootings in the streets, internet shutdowns, Starlink jamming, and the first public executions — Iran is entering a phase where every decision could become a point of no return.
