Iran’s former Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has called on Iranians to seize government institutions and diplomatic missions worldwide, announcing what he described as the beginning of a “new phase of the national uprising” aimed at toppling the Islamic regime.
In a statement published on X, Pahlavi said that weeks of mass demonstrations have significantly shaken the foundations of the Islamic Republic. He outlined actions he believes protesters should take.
Inside Iran, he urged demonstrators to take control of state institutions, particularly those responsible for propaganda and communications suppression.
Abroad, he called on Iranians in the diaspora to take over Iranian embassies and consulates and replace regime flags with Iran’s national flag.
Pahlavi also appealed to Iran’s security forces to side with the people and stop repression.
“Freedom for Iran is close. We are not alone; international support will come soon,” Pahlavi said, adding that increasing violence against demonstrators shows the regime fears its inevitable fall.
