In October, Europe’s new-car market once again showed strong demand for affordable, practical models. Leading the monthly sales chart was the Dacia Sandero — a budget-friendly hatchback that has held top positions for several years thanks to its low price, simple engineering and fuel efficiency.
Despite the hatchback’s dominance overall, another trend stands out: four crossovers made it into the top ten, underscoring the continued popularity of compact urban and family-oriented SUVs among European buyers.
Rounding out the top three were the Volkswagen T-Roc and the refreshed Renault Clio, which climbed back into the upper ranks as interest in traditional B-segment compacts rebounds. Volkswagen remains firmly positioned with three models in the top 10, while Toyota continues to expand its presence, driven by strong demand for its hybrid powertrains.
The top 10 best-selling models in October were:
Dacia Sandero — 20,480
Volkswagen T-Roc — 18,241
Renault Clio — 16,896
