Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, now available as a full battery electric vehicle (BEV), a 48V hybrid, and a future hydrogen version. Traditional petrol and diesel engines remain for markets with limited infrastructure.
The Hilux BEV features a 59.2 kWh battery, dual motors, all-wheel drive, 715 kg payload, and up to 1,600 kg towing capacity. Range is up to 240 km WLTP, with fast charging. The hybrid can tow up to 3.5 tons while reducing fuel consumption and noise.
All models come with a new digital interior, Toyota T-Mate safety system, and off-road assist features. The BEV targets corporate fleets, the hybrid suits logistics and agriculture, and combustion engines serve extreme conditions.
Electric Hilux sales start December 2025, hybrids in 2026. The Hilux proves its legendary status, combining durability with eco-friendly innovation.
