Subaru of America has unveiled the 2026 Trailseeker, a fully electric SUV featuring all-wheel drive, a 375-hp dual-motor setup and a 14-inch central display. The model starts at $39,995 and will be offered in three trims: Premium, Limited and Touring.
All versions come with Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD system and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 74.7 kWh, providing an estimated range of around 450 km. The Trailseeker accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest production Subaru currently available in the U.S. market. Fast-charging support of up to 150 kW enables an 80% charge in about 28 minutes, while a battery preconditioning system helps maintain charging performance in low temperatures. The SUV also features the NACS charging port, giving access to more than 25,000 charging stations across the U.S.
Off-road capability is enhanced by a ground clearance of roughly 21 cm, Subaru’s Dual-Mode X-MODE system with Snow/Dirt, Deep Snow/Mud and Grip Control settings, along with Downhill Assist Control. The cargo area offers 910 litres of space, and the roof rails support up to 317 kg of static load. Towing capacity is rated at 1,587 kg.
