Journalists from the respected automotive portal What Car conducted a large-scale survey among crossover owners to identify which used electric vehicles are considered the most reliable on the secondary market. Each car was rated on a 100-point scale, allowing for an objective ranking of the leaders.
The undisputed winner of the ranking was the Kia EV3, which scored a record 100 points, making it the first Kia model to achieve a perfect reliability rating. In second place was the Renault Scenic, launched in 2024, with a score of 97.5%. Tesla Model Y confidently secured third place with 97.1%. Fourth and subsequent positions were occupied by well-known models in the segment, including the BMW iX3, Vauxhall Combo Life Electric, Volvo EC40, Kia Soul EV, Mercedes-Benz EQA, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Kia E-Niro.
In addition to reliability, What Car also presented a ranking of the most expensive cars to maintain. Owners of the 2019 BMW 3 Series spend the most, around £421 per year (almost 25,000 UAH). Other high-maintenance models include the 2018 Audi A1, which costs about £218 (12,000 UAH) annually, and the Audi A3 (2013–2020), with average yearly repair costs around £1,000.
