Prices for fresh seasonal produce in Ukraine continue to decline even despite recent colder weather, according to EastFruit.
🍓 Berries and fruits
The price of garden strawberries (wild strawberry/small-fruit varieties) has dropped to around 100–200 UAH/kg, depending on quality and producer.
Sweet cherry prices have also shifted downward, with the upper range decreasing. Current prices are about 200–250 UAH/kg, compared to 150–280 UAH/kg a week earlier.
Blueberries have also become cheaper, falling from 633–933 UAH/kg to 550–800 UAH/kg.
Apricots are now sold at lower prices as well, averaging 100–150 UAH/kg.
🥬 Vegetables
In the vegetable segment, increased supply from local producers has driven prices down:
- Early white cabbage: 15–18 UAH/kg (down from 18–22)
- Table beet: 25–45 UAH/kg (down from 38–43)
- Cucumbers: 40–62 UAH/kg (previously 68–100)
- Tomatoes: 100–155 UAH/kg (previously 130–220)
📉 Market trend
Experts note that the price drop is driven by rising domestic supply from the new harvest season. Even with unstable weather conditions, the influx of local produce is putting downward pressure on prices across most fruit and vegetable categories.
Analysts previously predicted that cherry prices in Ukraine could fall further during peak season to around 100–150 UAH/kg.
