The Ukrainian government has announced the start of payments of 6,500 hryvnias

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has opened applications for a one-time social payment of 6,500 hryvnias. According to the Department of Information and Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet, this assistance is aimed at citizens most affected by the war or facing difficult life circumstances, as part of the “Winter Support” program.

Eligible recipients include:

  • Children under guardianship or care
  • Children with disabilities, including those in foster families and family-type orphanages
  • Persons with a first group disability among internally displaced persons (IDPs)
  • Children among IDPs already receiving subsistence payments
  • Children from low-income families under 18
  • Single pensioners receiving a care allowance

Applications can be submitted:

  • Online via the Diia portal or app
  • Offline at any Pension Fund service center

Payments are made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine and can be credited to:

  • A current account with a special usage regime (if available at the bank)
  • A Diia.Card

Funds can be used within 180 days of receipt exclusively for clothing and shoes, medicines, and vitamins.
