Overall, train traffic has been restored.
The suspected sabotage on the Polish railway line between Warsaw and Lublin has been confirmed. Although train services are back in operation, the incident will affect the schedule of the Kyiv–Warsaw train, according to a statement from Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Investigation is ongoing. Trains are running on the adjacent track,” the statement reads.
As a result of the incident, the Kyiv–Warsaw train is delayed by 25 minutes, while all connecting trains to Chelm are running on schedule. Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed the sabotage on the Warsaw–Lublin railway line, calling the track explosion “an unprecedented act of sabotage, directly targeting the safety of the Polish state and its civilian population.”
