Currently, the closures concern shopping malls in Dnipro, while stores in Odesa and Kharkiv remain uncertain.

Inditex, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers (owning brands such as Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, and Zara Home), has terminated its lease agreements with the Most-City and Karavan shopping centers in Dnipro. This was reported by NV, citing Ukrainian brands that were offered the available retail spaces.

The publication notes that the retailer is still leasing spaces in shopping malls in Kharkiv and Odesa.

“Management of several shopping malls approached us with collaboration proposals even before their contracts with Inditex were terminated,” said Lidiya Smetana, founder of the clothing brand One By One.

She emphasized that these are new large locations that were previously unavailable to Ukrainian brands.

However, Smetana did not specify which shopping centers offered One By One the opportunity to cooperate.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian authorities support domestic manufacturers. The Cabinet of Ministers plans to revise the “National Cashback” program to account for the new needs of Ukrainian producers and to increase their share in the local market.
