In Khmelnytskyi, two victims—a man and a woman—were found under the rubble of a building following a gas explosion, reported Serhiy Tyurin, head of the regional military administration. Emergency and rescue operations are ongoing.
“During the night, information emerged about a possible presence of another person in the building. Unfortunately, we have tragic confirmations. As a result of the explosion on Ternopilska Street, the bodies of two deceased were found under the rubble: at 02:24 the body of a woman born in 1973, and at 05:12 the body of a man born in 1983,” Tyurin wrote on Telegram.
The bodies have been sent for forensic examination to determine the causes of death. Additional teams have been involved in clearing the rubble, including high-altitude rescue units from the State Emergency Service and the special unit “DELTA.”
The explosion occurred on October 28 around 15:00, collapsing three floors of the building on Ternopilska Street.
