The Mykolaiv Regional Military Enlistment and Social Support Center (TCC) verified that a person from actress Angelina Jolie’s motorcade was detained while accompanying her during her visit to Kherson. In a comment to Ukrinform, the center stated that the incident occurred in the city of Pivdennoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region.
They emphasized that everything was done in accordance with Ukrainian law.
“Everything took place in line with current legislation,” the TCC said.
Meanwhile, journalists citing social media reports claim the detained man might be a volunteer from Kropyvnytskyi. It is alleged that he was detained despite having his military documents in order, and attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful.
As a reminder, on November 5 it became known that Angelina Jolie visited Kherson — her second trip to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. She had previously visited Lviv.
Media reported that a man from Jolie’s convoy was detained by personnel from the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and taken to the TCC in Pivdennoukrainsk. According to TSN, citing a high-ranking source in the Ground Forces, the man was “invited to visit the TCC,” after which he allegedly “calmly went about his business,” while Jolie “asked to use the restroom” at the center.
