Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna, has asked to end her diplomatic service, according to Interfax-Ukraine, citing a source familiar with the matter.
The source said Stefanishyna submitted her resignation request last week, citing personal reasons.
At the same time, the source noted that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is satisfied with her performance as ambassador.
The report comes after Zelenskyy announced upcoming personnel changes in Ukraine's diplomatic corps. Earlier, the president met with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and offered her a new leadership role.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Zhelezniak suggested that Svyrydenko could replace Stefanishyna as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.
