President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted a motion to Ukraine's parliament nominating Serhii Koretskyi as prime minister.

The resolution, registered as No. 15414, was submitted on July 15, according to the Verkhovna Rada's website.

A day earlier, Koretskyi met with lawmakers from the ruling Servant of the People faction, where he outlined his vision for the Cabinet and government structure. According to faction leader Davyd Arakhamia, Koretskyi identified support for citizens, preparations for the winter heating season, strengthening Ukraine's defense forces, and protecting critical infrastructure as his top priorities.

On July 14, parliament approved the resignation of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and her government with 258 votes. Ukraine's legislature is expected to vote on Koretskyi's appointment as prime minister on July 16.
