Ukraine expects President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the U.S. to be organized by the end of November to discuss the peace plan with Donald Trump, said NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov. He noted that Ukrainian and U.S. delegations reached an understanding on the key terms of the agreement during talks in Geneva.
Earlier reports indicated that the U.S. peace plan was reduced from 28 points to 19, with some points revised or removed. U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll is currently holding discussions on Trump’s plan in Abu Dhabi with Ukrainian and Russian delegations.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oleh Shamshur warned that lasting peace requires reliable guarantees and a strong European stance; otherwise, current “peace plans” could merely delay the war or shift its continuation to Europe.
