Poland will temporarily stop accepting buses arriving from Ukraine through the Shehyni–Medyka border crossing checkpoint due to reconstruction work on the bus traffic lane.
According to Ukraine’s State Customs Service, the repair project will begin on June 15, 2026, and is expected to continue until November 2027.
During this period, buses traveling from Ukraine to Poland will not be processed at the Shehyni–Medyka crossing.
At the same time, bus traffic from Poland into Ukraine will continue to operate normally.
Authorities have urged transport companies and passengers to take the restrictions into account when planning routes and to use alternative border crossings where necessary.
The temporary measure applies specifically to buses entering Poland and is linked to infrastructure upgrades on the Polish side of the border.
