OpenAI is expanding ChatGPT’s capabilities by integrating it with various apps, including Spotify, allowing both Premium and Free users to link their accounts. This launch coincides with the release of an SDK that simplifies connecting ChatGPT to third-party applications. In the future, users may no longer need to switch between Spotify or Canva windows, as ChatGPT can handle tasks directly within the conversation.
Spotify recently confirmed that users can now connect their accounts to ChatGPT, while the new SDK enables developers to adapt their apps for full compatibility with OpenAI’s AI-powered chatbot. Users can interact with integrated apps by mentioning them during a chat or following ChatGPT’s generated suggestions.
ChatGPT now serves over 800 million active users, with weekly updates. The platform already supports integration with Spotify, Figma, Coursera, Canva, and other applications, while OpenAI continues to collaborate with more developers to expand its app ecosystem.
