Poland will conduct a nationwide test of its public warning system on July 21 as part of the Alert-26 exercise, according to Interia Wydarzenia.
The drill will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with emergency sirens sounding across the country.
"Please remain calm," the Government Security Centre said in a public advisory, stressing that the exercise is purely for training purposes and does not indicate a real threat.
The drill is designed to test Poland's public alert and warning systems and assess their practical operation.
During the exercise, two standard siren signals will be used:
- Air raid alert: a modulated siren tone lasting three minutes.
- All clear: a continuous, steady siren tone lasting three minutes.
Officials emphasized that the sirens are part of a scheduled nationwide exercise and urged residents not to be alarmed.
