Polish Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak has claimed that the Polish government secretly transferred Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine in March without informing parliament, according to PolandDaily24.
In a post on X, Bosak alleged that the missiles had originally been purchased from the United States to strengthen Poland’s multi-layered air defense system. He also claimed they were the only interceptors in Poland capable of countering Russian Iskander ballistic missiles.
However, Bosak did not provide any documents or evidence to support his claims.
The Polish government has not officially confirmed that Patriot interceptor missiles were supplied to Ukraine.
Patriot missile stocks have become a key issue in Ukraine’s talks with its allies. Although Kyiv has received additional interceptors, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly said supplies remain insufficient to counter large-scale Russian missile attacks. Ukraine has also proposed that Germany provide missiles immediately in exchange for future deliveries.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly urged the United States to increase Patriot missile supplies or allow their production in Ukraine.
