Overnight on February 10, in the village of Sudobychi, Rivne region, a 72-year-old pensioner attacked five people, who died on the spot from their injuries.
According to the Rivne police, around 04:15, a social worker reported hearing screams from the abandoned school where displaced persons lived. Patrol officers later found that a domestic dispute around 04:10 between the pensioner and the residents escalated into a fight. The man used a hammer and axe against five people: two men (60 and 68) and three women (81, 78 from Donetsk, and 56 from Kirovohrad), all of whom died.
The 72-year-old attacker was detained, and authorities are deciding on charges and preventive measures.
