Iran has announced the closure of its airspace to all flights except for selected international routes amid increased military readiness.

According to data from Flightradar24, the Iranian government has placed units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on maximum combat alert. Air defense forces have also reportedly been ordered to open fire on any aircraft entering Iranian airspace without proper identification.

The move comes amid a sharp deterioration in Iran’s security situation, prompting concern among several European countries, which have urged their citizens to leave the country. At the same time, the United States is reportedly adapting a range of military scenarios for potential involvement, including options ranging from conventional strikes to cyber operations.

These strategies are expected to be presented for discussion at the highest level in the White House. Iran’s foreign minister, meanwhile, has emphasized the need for dialogue to reduce tensions.

Russia has strongly condemned U.S. threats of new strikes against Iran, calling such rhetoric “categorically unacceptable.”

The United Kingdom has announced plans to impose additional sanctions on Iran over the violent suppression of protests. Germany and Italy have summoned Iranian ambassadors in response to what they described as a brutal crackdown on protesters, while France also called in Iran’s envoy, condemning the authorities’ actions as “intolerable and inhumane.”

U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly considering a military operation against Iran, though no final decision has been made.
