As of 10:20 a.m., emergency power outages have been lifted in seven regions of Ukraine, while scheduled hourly outages remain in effect in the Chernihiv region, according to Ukrenergo.
“Due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by previous Russian strikes, emergency outages were applied this morning in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, as well as parts of the Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions. Currently, these restrictions are no longer in place in any region,” the company said in a statement.
In the Chernihiv region, however, local utilities continue to apply three stages of hourly shutdowns due to the consequences of earlier attacks.
As of the morning of October 15, some consumers in several regions — including Dnipropetrovsk — remain without power after a new Russian attack, and emergency repair crews are already working on site.
At 7:40 a.m., electricity consumption across Ukraine was 4% higher than the previous day, mainly due to colder weather and increased use of electric heaters ahead of the heating season.
“The need to save electricity remains. Please avoid using several high-power appliances simultaneously between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.,” Ukrenergo advised.
On the morning of October 15, Ukraine once again began implementing emergency power outage schedules across several regions. The previous day, October 14, similar measures had already been introduced nationwide.
