The president promised that the government will not raise gas or electricity prices during the winter.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop a transportation support program for Ukrainian citizens. According to him, Ukrzaliznytsia proposed an initiative called “UZ-3000”, which would allow each citizen to travel up to 3,000 kilometers for free by train within Ukraine.

“So that everyone can choose free rail routes within the country — Lviv–Kyiv, Kyiv–Dnipro, or any others,” he emphasized during his video address. Zelensky added that the program is currently being worked out.

The president stated that the government must prepare a “winter support” package by November 15. This will include financial aid similar to last year’s program. Additionally, the state plans to launch separate support measures for large families, elderly people, and those living in combat zones.

Zelensky also stressed that there will be no increase in gas or electricity prices for household consumers this winter.
