Kyiv has partially limited centralized hot water supply in some residential buildings due to a difficult energy situation following Russia’s mass attacks, the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) reported.
The city authorities say the measure is temporary and necessary to free up thermal capacity to restart and stabilize the heating system, which is technically difficult to relaunch in low temperatures. The restrictions apply only to buildings where it is required for technical reasons, not across the entire city.
The most difficult situation remains in parts of the Desnianskyi district, particularly Troieshchyna, where heating systems are being restarted for the third time. As of January 24, around 600 residential buildings there were without electricity, heating, and water.
Additional heating points and tent camps have been set up in the area, where residents can warm up, charge devices, and rest until heat and power supplies are fully restored.
