All participants of the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League have been confirmed following the playoff matches.
The second legs of the playoff round took place across Europe on Thursday, February 26.
In the Europa League, Panathinaikos (Greece), Lille (France), Ferencváros (Hungary), Stuttgart (Germany), Bologna (Italy), Nottingham Forest (England), Celta Vigo (Spain) and Genk (Belgium) advanced to the next stage.
They joined the eight teams that had already qualified directly from the league phase: Lyon (France), Aston Villa (England), Midtjylland (Denmark), Real Betis (Spain), Porto (Portugal), Braga (Portugal), Freiburg (Germany) and Roma (Italy).
In the Europa Conference League, Rijeka (Croatia), Samsunspor (Turkey), Fiorentina (Italy), Celje (Slovenia), AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands), Crystal Palace (England), Lech Poznań (Poland) and Sigma Olomouc (Czech Republic) progressed through the playoffs.
They will be joined by Strasbourg (France), Raków (Poland), Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine), Sparta Prague (Czech Republic), AEK Athens (Greece), Rayo Vallecano (Spain), Mainz (Germany) and AEK Larnaca (Cyprus), who qualified directly from the main stage.
The draw for the Round of 16 will take place on February 27, while the matches are scheduled for March 12–13 and March 19–20.
The Europa League final is set for May 20 in Istanbul, Turkey. The defending champions are Tottenham, who defeated Manchester United 1–0 in last season’s final.
The Europa Conference League final will be played on May 27 in Leipzig, Germany. Chelsea are the reigning champions after beating Real Betis in the final.
