Ukraine’s national team emerged as the standout winner of the 2025 Summer Deaflympics, held from 15 to 26 November in Tokyo.

Over 12 days of competition, Ukrainian athletes captured a total of 100 medals: 32 gold, 39 silver and 29 bronze. They also set eight world records and 12 Deaflympics records. This is the country’s second-best result in the history of the Games; the national record remains 138 medals won in 2021.

Ukraine dominated the medal standings, finishing far ahead of its closest rivals:

Ukraine — 100 (32 gold, 39 silver, 29 bronze)

United States — 36 (17, 7, 12)

Japan — 51 (16, 12, 23)

China — 50 (12, 16, 22)

South Korea — 43 (11, 13, 19)

The Deaflympics are the world’s premier international multisport event for athletes with hearing impairments.

Earlier this year, Ukraine also won the overall medal count at the Winter Deaflympics.
