Slovakia’s Economy Ministry says it relied on information from the Ukrainian side when stating that oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline could resume by February 26. However, Kyiv has not issued any official confirmation, Reuters reports, citing a Ukrainian source.

“There has been no such official position from the Ukrainian side,” the source said.

Earlier, Slovakia’s Ministry of Economy claimed that pipeline operator Transpetrol had allegedly received notice from Ukraine about postponing the restoration of supplies via Druzhba until February 26.

Meanwhile, Slovakia’s opposition party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) plans to appeal to prosecutors over Prime Minister Robert Fico’s decision to halt emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine, underscoring that not all Slovak politicians support pro-Russian policies.
