On the evening of Sunday, December 14, unknown drones reportedly targeted areas near Moscow, with explosions heard in the Moscow region. Russian Telegram channels first reported the incidents, including sounds of drones and explosions near Kashira.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has not yet commented on the situation. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, between 16:00 and 20:00 local time, air defenses allegedly shot down 56 drones, including two over the Moscow region. The reported breakdown of intercepted drones by region is as follows:

- Bryansk: 17
- Tula: 5
- Kursk: 3
- Kaluga: 2
- Ryazan: 2
- Moscow region: 2
- Voronezh: 1
No official information on damage or casualties in the Moscow region has been released so far.
