All four crew members aboard a Ukrainian Air Force Mi-24 helicopter were killed on Thursday, December 18, while carrying out a combat mission, the 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade named after General-Cornet Viktor Pavlenko reported.
“Today, a dark cloud has fallen over our aviation family. This is an irreparable loss for aviation, for the country, and for the families who were waiting for their loved ones at home,” the brigade said in a statement.
The brigade’s command also announced the launch of a fundraising campaign to support the four families of the fallen crew members.
The 12th Separate Army Aviation Brigade provides aviation support in various combat conditions and operates under the direct command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
