Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he has no intention of traveling to Moscow for talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, stressing that serious negotiations should take place on neutral ground.
"We are not playing games. If there is a real desire to end the war, there must be a genuine meeting and concrete decisions," Zelenskyy said.
According to the Ukrainian president, a meeting in Moscow is not under consideration. Instead, he suggested that direct talks could be held in a neutral country with international mediation and security guarantees.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine remains open to negotiations aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace, but only if Russia demonstrates a genuine willingness to end the war rather than using talks as a political maneuver.
His remarks come amid renewed international efforts to restart peace negotiations, including discussions involving the United States and European partners. Ukraine has repeatedly stated that any future settlement must respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
