U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a new ultimatum to Iran regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on Truth Social on April 4, Trump reiterated his demands and warned of consequences if they are not met.

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ. Time is running out — 48 hours before hell rains down on them. GOD BLESS!” he wrote.

Previous statements

On April 3, Trump said he believed the United States would be able to reopen the Strait of Hormuz but would need more time.

“If we have a little more time, we can easily open the Strait of Hormuz, take the oil, and make a big profit. It would be a real ‘oil fountain’ for the world,” he said.
