On Wednesday, October 29, in the Round of 16 of the Ukrainian Cup, Dynamo Kyiv hosted Shakhtar Donetsk at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium in Kyiv.

The first half was controlled by the visitors. Shakhtar created several dangerous chances against Neshcheret’s goal but failed to score. Early in the second half, the Donetsk side opened the scoring — Meyrellish headed the ball into the net after Pedrinho’s cross.

After conceding, Dynamo increased the pressure and turned the game around. First, Yarmolenko found himself alone in the penalty area and placed the ball accurately into the far corner, then Guerrero put Kyiv ahead following a save from Riznyk.

In the closing minutes, Shovkovskyi’s team defended calmly and secured a win in this high-stakes clash.
