Lance forward Florian Thauvin has been called up to the France national team.
PSG winger Bradley Barcola is out of the “Les Bleus” squad due to a right hamstring injury sustained in the Champions League match against Atalanta. According to the French Football Federation (FFF), Didier Deschamps has called up Thauvin as his replacement.
Thauvin returns to the national team after an absence of six years and three months. He last played for France in June 2019 while at Marseille. Since then, he has played for several clubs, including Tigres and Udinese.
The 32-year-old has 10 caps for France and has scored one goal.
