The American magazine Forbes has released its ranking of the world’s highest-paid footballers for 2025.
Topping the list is Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese star playing for Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia), who earned a total of $280 million — $230 million from his club contract and $50 million from endorsements and off-field ventures.
Lionel Messi of Inter Miami (USA) ranks second with earnings of $130 million ($60 million in salary and $70 million from sponsorships), while Karim Benzema of Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) takes third with $104 million ($100 million + $4 million).
The rest of the top 10 includes:
- Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid) – $95 million ($70M + $25M)
- Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – $80 million ($60M + $20M)
- Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid) – $60 million ($40M + $20M)
- Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – $55 million ($35M + $20M)
- Sadio Mané (Al-Nassr) – $54 million ($50M + $4M)
- Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) – $44 million ($29M + $15M)
- Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – $43 million ($33M + $10M).
