The Ukrainian military has officially confirmed that a strike on the Votkinsk plant — which produces missiles including Iskander-M, Oreshnik, and Topol-M — caused damage to one of its workshops. The announcement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
The statement specifies that Workshop No. 22 was destroyed during the attack on February 20, 2026. The plant has not clarified the exact function of this workshop, though unconfirmed reports suggest it may be used for the final assembly of missiles or related operations.
Further attacks by Ukrainian forces
The General Staff added that on the night of February 26, Ukrainian troops struck the P-18 “Terek” radar station and the RSP-6M2 radar system in temporarily occupied Dzhankoi, successfully hitting their targets.
On February 25, Ukrainian forces reportedly attacked a Russian logistics warehouse near Novozlatopil, a drone control point near Poltavka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and concentrations of Russian troops near Rodynske in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian troops also hit a Russian command-and-observation post near Yasne Sontse, Bryansk region.
Details of the Iskander plant strike
The February 20 strike used Flamingo missiles of Ukrainian production, which reportedly traveled 1,400 kilometers to reach the target, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. OSINT analysts suggest the missiles hit Workshop No. 19, the plant’s galvanic-stamping facility.
The General Staff confirmed that all missiles launched successfully reached the Russian missile factory, marking a significant operational achievement for Ukraine’s defense forces.
