Soldiers of the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces have broken through Russian defensive positions on the Oleksandrivka axis, at the junction of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions, the Air Assault Forces command reported.
Reconnaissance group CG132 of this battalion destroyed Russian personnel, fortified positions, and ammunition depots. Ukrainian defenders successfully thwarted Russian plans for offensive operations in this sector. The reconnaissance actions also allowed Ukrainian units to establish a foothold for tactical advances by other forces.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that Ukrainian troops have “cleared” over 400 square kilometers of territory from Russian forces, including settlements such as Andriivka, Ostapivske, Nova Zaporizhzhia, Pishchane, Nechaivka, and Radisne.
Taras Chmut, a representative of the Ministry of Defense on the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency, noted that Ukraine is, for the first time in many years, liberating more territory than it is losing.
