On the night of Wednesday, March 4, Russia launched 149 attack drones at Ukraine, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UAVs. Ukrainian air defense neutralized 129 enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The drones were launched from Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. Around 100 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, 129 drones were shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country.
Ukrainian forces recorded 19 drone strikes across 15 locations, and debris falling at one location. The Air Force warned that the attack was still ongoing and several drones remained in Ukrainian airspace.
During the night, air raid alerts were declared in several regions due to the threat of Shahed drones and guided aerial bombs. Explosions were reported in Kharkiv and Dnipro.
