NASA's satellite monitoring system has detected new fire hotspots in the Sea of Azov, along with a blaze at the Kavkaz railway station in Russia's Krasnodar region.

According to the Telegram channel Exilenova+, data from NASA's FIRMS satellite monitoring system shows fresh thermal anomalies in the Sea of Azov, indicating active fires.

The hotspots may point to new strikes on vessels from Russia's so-called shadow fleet, which is used to transport oil while circumventing international sanctions.

Satellite imagery also shows new fire outbreaks in an area where previous attacks on Russian ships had already been recorded.

In addition, NASA FIRMS detected a fire at the Kavkaz railway station in Krasnodar region.

The railway hub plays a key role in Russia's military logistics, serving rail routes that supply occupied Crimea.

Russian authorities have not commented on the cause of the fires or possible damage to the affected facilities.
