Russia launched two guided Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles and 94 drones of various types in an overnight attack on Ukraine, with air defenses intercepting most of the incoming targets, the Ukrainian Air Force said.

The attack involved Shahed attack drones, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones launched from occupied Crimea, Russia's Kursk, Millerovo and Oryol regions, and occupied Donetsk.

Ukraine deployed fighter aircraft, air defense missile units, electronic warfare teams, drone units and mobile fire groups to repel the assault.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 81 enemy drones across northern, southern and eastern regions of the country.

The Air Force said one missile and nine attack drones struck targets at nine locations, while another missile failed to reach its intended target.

"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety precautions," the Air Force said.
