One person was killed and nine others, including a six-year-old child, were injured after Russian forces launched guided aerial bomb strikes on the center of Zaporizhzhia, according to regional authorities.

Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov said the attack hit residential and non-residential buildings in the city's central district.

At least 15 private homes were destroyed or damaged in the strikes. Emergency crews and firefighters responded to the scene to contain multiple fires, while residents of a damaged apartment building were evacuated due to safety concerns.

Authorities also warned that unexploded ordnance had been found in the area and urged residents to remain in safe locations and follow instructions from emergency services.

According to updated information from local officials, the attack killed one person and injured nine others, including a young child. Medical assistance was provided to three women, five men, and one child.

Four of the injured remain under medical supervision with blast injuries and acute stress reactions, while two people were hospitalized in moderate condition. The six-year-old boy was hospitalized with an acute stress reaction.

Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region have been subjected to frequent Russian attacks in recent days. On July 9, a Russian drone strike hit a gas station in the regional capital, injuring one person and sparking a large fire. A day earlier, guided bomb strikes damaged civilian infrastructure and left thousands of residents without electricity.
