Russian forces attacked the center of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region on the morning of October 6, striking the grounds of a city hospital with two Banderol strike drones, according to Kryvyi Rih Defense Council head Oleksandr Vilkul.
The attack initially left two people injured. One was a hospital employee who suffered serious injuries and was taken into surgery. A man was also injured and was reported to be in moderate condition.
A third injured person, a woman who was walking her dog at the time of the strike, was later reported. The number of wounded subsequently rose to five. Two women, aged 28 and 40, were hospitalized in serious condition, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha.
The strike also caused a fire in the city center and damaged garages, according to local reports.
The attack came after a large overnight Russian drone barrage against Ukraine. Ukrainian authorities said Russia launched 137 attack drones of various types, including 49 jet-powered drones, while Ukrainian air defenses destroyed or suppressed 114 of them.
