Russians attacked oil and gas infrastructure in the Poltava region with drones, and a fire is still raging, according to Serhiy Koretskyi, chairman of the board of Naftogaz Ukraine. This is not the first enemy strike on Naftogaz facilities.
The attack caused damage to the site, and the fire has not yet been extinguished. Koretskyi emphasized that the strike was deliberate. "Since the beginning of the year, the enemy has attacked Naftogaz Group facilities more than 20 times. Sincere thanks to the State Emergency Service and Naftogaz teams, who are working to eliminate the consequences of these attacks, operating at the limits of their capacity and under the threat of repeated strikes," he added.
Previously, in January, Russian forces targeted a critical Naftogaz facility in Brody, Lviv region. The attack sparked a fire that took a week to extinguish, but there were no casualties.
