Ukrainian defenders are conducting successful counterattacks not only on the Huliaipole axis but also in the Oleksandrivske sector, preventing Russian forces from advancing toward Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, including in the direction of Pokrovsk, said Southern Defense Forces spokesperson Vladyslav Voloshyn during a national broadcast.
According to him, Russian troops are currently facing serious difficulties on this section of the front but continue active operations. He added that Russian forces are attempting to push Ukrainian units out of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, though without success.
Voloshyn noted that Russian media claims about the alleged capture of the village of Krynychne on the Huliaipole axis are false. He stressed that Krynychne lies west of Staroukrainka and Sviatopetrivka, both of which remain under Ukrainian control and have not been seized.
He also reported ongoing Russian assault attempts near Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, and Zelenе, while Ukrainian forces are reducing the so-called “gray zone” and carrying out counterstrikes.
Meanwhile, DeepState co-founder Roman Pohorilyi said Ukrainian troops are clearing gray-zone areas near Prymorske and Lukianivske on the Orikhiv axis. Head of the Reserve Council of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Ivan Tymochko emphasized that Ukrainian defenders in Zaporizhzhia region are not conducting a full counteroffensive but are instead delivering targeted counterblows against Russian troops.
