Iran has officially denied claims by Donald Trump that it is ready to hand over its nuclear materials to the United States, accusing him of manipulation.
According to The Jerusalem Post, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that transferring enriched uranium is not even under discussion. He described Trump’s remarks as wishful thinking presented as fact.
“Enriched uranium produced by Iran will not be handed over anywhere; transferring it to the United States has never been an option for us,” Baghaei said.
Earlier, Trump заявил during a speech in Arizona that he intended to remove Iran’s highly enriched uranium using excavators, repeatedly referring to it as “nuclear dust” following U.S. strikes on facilities in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow in 2025.
“How are we going to get the nuclear dust? We’ll get it with Iran, using a lot of excavators, and we’ll take it to the United States,” Trump said, adding that Tehran would receive no payment in return. He also did not rule out continuing the war if a deal with Iran collapses.
Iran’s enriched uranium and nuclear program remain central issues in negotiations with Washington. While the U.S. and Israel insist Iran must not obtain nuclear weapons, no agreement was reached during the initial round of talks in Pakistan.
Despite this, Trump has claimed that Iran had agreed to hand over all enriched uranium — a statement Tehran firmly rejects. Meanwhile, China has предложила alternatives, including transferring the material to China or diluting it to levels suitable only for peaceful use.
