According to him, this is the result of the war in Iran.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the war in Iran is negatively affecting military aid to Ukraine. In an interview with ZDF, he stressed the critical shortage of Patriot air defense missiles.
“We currently have such a shortage that it cannot get any worse,” Zelenskyy said.
The president believes that if the war in Iran continues longer, “there will be less weapons for Ukraine.” At the same time, he said Kyiv is ready to help with reopening the Strait of Hormuz. He added that Ukraine has experience in closing the Black Sea, but the United States has not yet requested assistance.
Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine received a new batch of Patriot missiles from partners in early April. Meanwhile, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said that under a new €4 billion German aid package, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive hundreds of missiles for these systems.
