United States has warned Europe about possible delays in weapons deliveries due to the war with Iran, according to Reuters.
U.S. officials told European partners that some previously agreed arms shipments may be delayed as the conflict continues to deplete American stockpiles. The delays could affect several countries, particularly in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions.
Much of the equipment was purchased under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program but has not yet been delivered. The affected supplies include various types of ammunition used for both offensive and defensive purposes.
European officials are concerned that these delays weaken their security, especially for countries near Russia. Meanwhile, Washington emphasizes that weapons are urgently needed for operations in the Middle East, highlighting how the U.S.–Israeli campaign against Iran is straining critical military resources.
